Skating for change in Ethiopia

Skatepark Sisterhood, a film directed and shot by Angela Hartwick and Daryl Visscher, is screening at Tribeca Film Festival 2023.
Following a group of Ethiopian young women as they spread their love of skateboarding, and the liberation it offers, ‘Skatepark Sisterhood’ is a powerful evocation of exuberant youth.
Faced with filming challenging such as red tape, delayed permits and civil unrest, Angela and Daryl persisted, masterfully translating the Skatepark Sisterhood’s pure passion to the screen.
